This week I ran into this quote I wrote down for my art journaling. I love it. And it made me think. We often use the word ‘perfect’ to describe something great. If we say ‘perfect’ it is meant as a compliment, right? If you think about it, it’s kind of strange though. Perfection is considered to be the highest level you can reach, but it’s hardly ever a realistic goal. And while you’re going to your limits trying to get there, you often forget to enjoy yourself and open up to new experiences and insights. In my workshops we always talk about perfectionism and how it gets in the way of creating. One of the true benefits of Art Journaling is the self awareness that comes with creating art and filling those blank pages. In the workshops Art Journaling I organize for small groups we work on that, we talk about it and you will get some helpfull tools!
