Mixed Media
Does it sound interesting to you, but you’re not really sure what Mixed Media is? Let me explain a little, and see if this is a workshop you want to sign up for!
Mixed Media is a form of creative expression in which a wide variety of materials is being used. It is often used in Art Journaling, but can also be done on (for example) canvas. Right here, we focus on mixed media for art journaling, since this that is what I do and love, and want to share with you!
What makes it powerful
Mixed media is a great way to experiment and try new things, without any big risks. By making choices on which materials to use – in which order and combination – the result will always be unique. You are the chief, you get to make the decisions, but you will have to listen to your heart and follow your intuition.
What you will learn
You will learn some basic rules to make mixed media work. I will show you lots of materials and tell you about the characteristics, and of course demonstrate them. You will get some assignments to get you going, while at the same time you are the one calling the shots. In the beginning, you may feel a little hesitant (many of us need to overcome little or big creative blocks), but I guarantee you, in the end you will have your own unique piece(s) of art!

What you can expect at the workshop
In 3 hours you will learn about the energy of creating mixed media and get practical tips to enjoy it at the fullest. In a comfortable and pleasant setting you can make use of plenty materials and enjoy the company of a small group of like minded people. You will get some guidance by working on some assignments, while at the same time you are completely free to work in your own, unique way. You will get inspired by the stories of others, the materialsthat are offered and the endless possibilities of creating your own art.
No experience or any kind of artistic skills are needed; everybody is welcome.
