Collage - Peace of Art

Would you like to get creative without too much pressure? Do you feel like relaxing with a cup of coffee or herbal tea, browse images and just see what happens? Join us for an Easy Sunday Collage!

Collage is an easy way to get your creative juices flowing! You can either use existing images, or you can create them yourself by painting or coloring any kind of paper. Once you have these collected images, the process of shifting starts. What will fit, what looks nice? Because you can try anything before you start applying glue, it is a very intuitive way of creating something new.

Workshop
Nevertheless, there are some basic guidelines that you can apply to your collage, to make it visually more interesting. In this workshop you will get some useful tips and tricks and we will take a closer look at several kinds of collages to find out what style you like most.

Materials
Like in all Peace of Art workshops, there will be plenty materials to use. A great variety of magazines, book pages, other kinds of paper (like colored tissue paper), stickers, paper goodies and so on. You will also have the possibility to paint or color your papers with water color paint, alcoholic markers, crayons and more.

You will have time to browse the magazine collection, and surely this will get you going, but there’s also a collection of paper clippings available. Many images have already been collected and sorted by theme: nature, travel, spirituality, inspiring people, sports and more. This will save you a lot searching and enables you to dive into your project right away.

What you can expect at the workshop
In 2.5 hours you will create one or more collages, on any size you like (from A6 to A3). You will get some guidelines to get going and make something unique and beautiful. There are some subjects you can choose from, if you don’t know where to start. But if you have ideas of your own, that’s great!

As always: no experience or any kind of artistic skills are needed; everybody is welcome.
